On December 20, 1955, Engine #2546 was placed in Ripley Square and dedicated to Marceline.

November 1, 1920 – Marceline Carnegie Library dedicated

November 1, 1920, the Marceline Carnegie Library was dedicated, and opened with 1,701 books ready for use. At the end of the first year, there were 990 borrowers and 3,024 volumes in the library.

May 25, 1931 – New encyclopedias are purchased for $89 for the Marceline Carnegie Library

May 25, 1931 – A new set of World Book Encyclopedias were purchased by the Marceline Carnegie Library for $89, to be paid at $5 per month.

May 24, 1990 – Joyce Stallo Clapp is hired as the new Director of the Marceline Carnegie Library

May 24, 1990 –  Joyce Stallo Clapp is hired as the Director of the Marceline Carnegie Library. She makes only the 9th Director in 100 years! She started working just four days after her high school graduation.

March 8, 1988 – Vicky Schaal’s first day as the new Librarian

July 4, 1976 – The Continental Volunteer Army marches in the 4th of July parade

The Continental Volunteer Army was seen marching in uniform in the July 4, 1976 parade. The uniforms were sewed by local women.
