Jimmy Worley Sr., age 79 of Stockton, Missouri, died Monday, December 14, 2015 at CMH Hospital in Boliver. Jimmy was born near Potosi, Missouri on April 26, 1936 to Chris and Goldie (Chandler) Worley. He married Mable G. Oliver on October 18, 1952 at the age of 16 in Aurora, Illinois. Jim and Mable had been married 63 years; they had two children, Jimmy Worley Jr., and Linda Lou (Carter) Worley and had two granddaughters and one great grandson. At the age of 42 he retired from Ferguson Machine Co, where he had been a machinist.
After retiring Jim and Mable became “Snow Birds” and traveled all over the United States. They enjoyed wintering in South Texas and the Phoenix, Arizona valley. They both love to fish, travel and spend time with family and friends. For the past several years they had settled down in Missouri to be near family.
Jim is survived by his wife, Mable (Oliver) Worley, Marceline; son Jimmy (Rachel) Worley Jr., St Clair, Mo., granddaughters, Sarah (John) Worley-Geyer and Melanie Carver, and great grandson Angel Christopher Carver-Baxter. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Linda Worley-Carver.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Friday Dec. 18, 2015 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Marceline. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM Friday at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline.
