John G. Steffes, age 60 of Wien, died Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston, Iowa. He was born on December 27, 1954 in Kearney, Nebraska to Cletus and Glenda (Easley) Steffes. He is survived by two brothers, Stephen Steffes, of Independence and Daniel Steffes and Katrina, of Wien, sister Laura Dickey and Jay, of Odessa, and four nieces and four nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Wien with visitation from 10 until service time at the church in Wien. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Wien. Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Cemetery or Altar Sodality and these may be left at or mailed to Delaney Funeral Home 1720 N.
