Ralph Norman “Bud” Allen, age 74, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015, at his residence.
Bud was born the son of Ralph H. and Opal (Stilabower) Allen on March 26, 1941, in Brookfield, Missouri. He joined a sister, Norma Lee (Allen) Shearer. He was a 1959 graduate of Laclede High School. Bud worked as a farmer helping his father, as a stockman at the IGA Store in Brookfield, Missouri, and Chillicothe Municipal Utilities Power and Light of Chillicothe, Missouri. He later went to work for UPS in 1965, retiring in 1999. He was united in marriage to Joyce Elaine Jefferson on November 27, 1960, in Linneus, Missouri. He was a member of the Laclede Methodist Church. Bud enjoyed boating, going to the lake, hunting, fishing, stock car racing and going to the weekend races. He loved building lego’s and playing checkers with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Elaine Allen of the home; son, Darrell Lee Allen and wife Chris of Chillicothe, Missouri; daughter, Deborah Lynn (Allen) Cameron and husband Alvin of Chillicothe, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jeremiah Lee Allen and wife Jess of Chillicothe, Missouri, Quentin Patrick Cameron and wife Brooke of Chillicothe, Missouri, Jared Allen of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Justin Cameron and wife Amie of Henderson, Texas; five great grandsons, Braxton Lee Allen, Jacob Morgan Lee Allen, Quade Michael Cameron, Cason Carl Cameron and Coby Joe Cameron; one great granddaughter, Bentlee Lynn Cameron; sister, Norma Lee Shearer of Chillicothe, Missouri; mother-in-law, Irene Jefferson of Brookfield, Missouri; brother-in-law, Floyd Jefferson and wife Raylene of Linneus, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Darrell Shearer; and father-in-law, Theodore Lee Jefferson.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, Wednesday, July 15, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Laclede Cemetery, Laclede, Missouri.
