The Marceline Historical Society is made up of residents of the City of Marceline. We meet monthly at the Marceline Carnegie Library to discuss local history, develop plans on how to collect, preserve, and share our history.
We work with local families, businesses, and organizations to gather photographs, documents, and personal stories that help tell the story of Marceline. Members often take part in community projects, presentations, and exhibits designed to make history engaging for all ages (but especially our historic citizens.) By preserving the past, the Marceline Historical Society also helps inspire pride in our community today and provides resources for future generations to learn from.
Whether you’ve lived here your whole life or are new to town, everyone is welcome to attend meetings and contribute their memories, skills, or time to support the Society’s mission.
