William J. “Bill” Suhr, age 83 of New Boston, Missouri died Friday, December 18, 2015 at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia. Bill was born at Oran, Iowa on September 28, 1932 to Willie and Goldie (Menuey) Suhr. He married Janis C. Reuber June 30, 1956 and she preceded him in death in 2010.
Bill had worked as a heavy equipment operator on road construction. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Brookfield and a New Boston resident since 1972.He is survived by two sons, Butch Suhr and Tina, New Iberia, Louisiana; and Fred Suhr and Jackie, New Boston; three daughters, Connie Pate and George, Bucklin; Tammy Henderson and Scott, Brookfield; and Cindy Threlkeld and Gary, Columbia; four brothers, Jerry and Sandy Suhr, Harpers Ferry, Iowa; Henry and Diane Suhr, Las Vegas, Nevada; Alvin and Julie Suhr, Waverly, Iowa; and Melvin and Holly Suhr, Knoxville, Iowa; five sisters, Goldie Plattee, Brashear; Lois and Jake Kocher, Anna Jean and Dale Unger, Judy and Jim Hoyt, all of Hawkeye, Iowa; and Marlene Bradley, Readlyn, Iowa; fourteen grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, infant son, and three brothers.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Monday, December 21, 2015 at New Boston Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until 11 AM at Delaney Funeral Home in Bucklin on Monday.
