The Marceline Historical Society is looking for written, or recorded stories about individuals from your family, who are from Marceline or have a long-time connection with Marceline. We want to add your family history – and especially individual stories – to the Historical Society website for future generations.
Ideas
- Write a couple of paragraphs – or a whole book – about your mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, aunt, uncle, or your whole family.
- Use your mobile phone to record an interview with someone from your family.
- Add details about when they moved to Marceline, what kind of work they and their family did here.
- Talk about why they loved Marceline, and how they were involved in the community.
When you have a story ready, email it to us so we can add it to the website and preserve that history. You can submit stories about each person in your family, as long as it pertains to Marceline’s history.
