A MoDOT resurfacing project for Linn County Route 5 in Marceline, MO is expected to begin Monday, April 22nd, unless there is a weather delay. Capital Paving and Construction, LLC, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, expects to complete the resurfacing portion by Friday, April 26th, provided there are no delays.

MoDOT has provided the following information concerning the resurfacing project in our area.

Work is expected to be between April 22nd and April 26th, provided there are no weather delays. Route 5 will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers directing motorists through the work zone during this period.

At a to-be-announced date, Route 5 will be closed for two weeks under the BNSF Railroad Bridge in Marceline for concrete schedules. Traffic will be directed on U.S. Route 36, Missouri Route 129 and Route WW around the closure.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change. Know before you go by visiting the MoDOT Traveler Information Map for work zone information and road conditions at http://traveler.modot.org/map/ or downloading from your smart phone’s app store.
